The Maryland group's main business is the implementation of mission-critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.Job DescriptionThe Field Service Technician MUST live a commutable distance to Salisbury, MD to support our Public Safety customers. Perform preventative maintenance, focusing on trend analysis and comprehensive documentation.Develop solutions for complex technical issues related to system maintenance, upgrades, and support.Engage in continuous training on the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to maintain, optimize, and support advanced communication systems.Optimize and support complex communication systems and software applications, including advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning of infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and Broadband systems.Maintain, optimize, test, and document complex communication systems.Provide weekly activity and accomplishment reports.Demonstrate knowledge of RF systems (transmitters, receivers, antenna networks), standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques.Specific Knowledge/Skills Required:Security +, CompTIA, or a related certification is highly desirable.Proficiency in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.Knowledge of wired communication systems, such as LAN and WAN.Experience with logging recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communication systems, and networking equipment.Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.Strong self-management and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Motorola’s customers, subcontractors (MSS), and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and customer service).Self-motivated and self-managed to perform duties with minimal direct...
