Management of tastings
- Prepare samples (cook, reheat, rehydrate,…)
- Prepare equipment
- Ensure samples ready on time for sessions as planned
- Training of tasters
Administrative management:
- Manage data base
- Invoice management
- Codering tickets
- Contact with the financial department
- Preparation and realization of the panels and focus groups in the kitchen
- Prepare in the kitchen the products to be tasted by the tasters
- Ensure the smooth running of the day in the kitchen and in the booths (taster supervision, training, management of gift vouchers, etc.)
- Respecting the schedule of the products
- The day before, prepare the plates of the panels according to a defined schedule
- Control of hygiene in the building (check-list, temperature +/-, cleaning, ISO)
- Management of the samples and follow-up of the stock
- Take pictures of the products
- Schedule tasting sessions for all types of customer panels and send a panel invitation to the relevant people when necessary. Creation of taster cards.
- Manage purchase instruction + follow-up reception + invoicing + follow-up of samples + encoding and follow-up with customers
- Encoding of the panels: encoding of the products (DLC, Lot, ...), creation of the sessions and the schedule of the day of panels + product photo + translate the tasting cards into NL
- Customer contact: ensure follow-up of any questions or specific requests from the customer.
- Invoicing follow-up (purchasing, panel) and support for monthly reporting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (planning) is a plus.
- An academic background in logistic, food or related prefered
- Food safety certificate is an asset
- Experience working in the food industry – catering, quality assessment of products
- Language : English + French/Flemish
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with limited direction.
- Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work at computer for periods of time, lifting of samples (sometimes heavy) and working in a semi-commercial kitchen environment
- Flexibility to have early and late start times to accommodate the operational hours of the sensory laboratory (Monday to Friday 8-19)
- Operate within company authorization levels, health & safety procedures, and all relevant standards of compliance
- Ability to work in a team, with flexibility to cover tasks other than own main duties as required.
- Confident and competent to work with minimal senior management on site
- Maintain a driving license.
- Able to undertake shopping for samples across the Brussels area.
