Manage inspection team including but not limited to overtime, vacation scheduling, and delegation of work between both plant and all inspection processes. Coordinate with operations in responding to unusual situations, changes, material shortages, and varying quality requirements. Ensure quality inspectors are properly trained and are conducting inspections according to current requirements and documentation. Perform root cause analysis and support problem solving and continuous improvement efforts by bringing attention to quality problems, participating improvement teams, and working with front end, design, quality and production personnel to resolve problems. Establish and improve data collection plans as well as tools and processes. Evaluate data to identify key detractors of Scrap, Rework, and Warranty and then implement Error Proofing solutions to achieve reduced CONC costs. Participate in PROLaunch projects representing the Quality Team. Use data analysis software (i.e. Excel, Access and Minitab). Lead the Quality Council and work with Operations and Quality Team to identity improvement projects related to customer satisfaction, rework, scrap, and overall quality. Conduct root cause investigation and train plant team members on processes related to quality tools/processes. Interact with customers on-site (in plant and at customer locations) to facilitate understanding of production and quality-related processes and results. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in working in a manufacturing or operations environment. Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): PC and related software (Microsoft Office or AutoCAD). EQS and problem-solving tools. Experience in a Quality function. All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
