Skills and CompetenciesStrong quantitative and analytical design skills with ability to own and enhance business logic components, contributing to end-to-end model developmentHands-on quantitative development with increasing autonomy; translating analytical concepts into scalable model logic and contributing to design decisionsAbility to collaborate effectively with analysts, model developers, and stakeholdersExperience in using AI tools to improve efficiency in analytical and development workflowsEducationBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics, and either (i) a Master’s or PhD in a related field, and (ii) 3+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., Credit Risk)ResponsibilitiesIndependently contribute to and partially lead quantitative development and maintenance of credit rating models through hands-on analytical workDevelop and implement quantitative business logic components of credit rating models with limited guidanceAnalyze data and model behavior to develop, test, and maintain rating modelsDocument model logic, assumptions, and analytical decisions in line with governance standardsCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure correct interpretation and application of modelsAbout the teamOur Credit Strategy and Standards – Modelling and Quantitative Analytics / Design and Analytics team is responsible for the development and maintenance of credit rating models used in the rating process.We contribute to Moody’s by designing and implementing robust quantitative model logic, ensuring consistency and comparability across the modelling suite, and strengthening analytical capabilities as we grow our team presence in Bangalore.
