Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 100,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center. In 2025, we opened our new patient tower, Grand Tower, featuring a dramatically expanded Emergency Department and Family Birth Center that will increase patient comfort and privacy.

- Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support for the Medical Staff Director through meeting and calendar management, document retrieval, and research.
- Facilitates scheduling of medical staff meetings, making sure participants are notified, materials are prepared, meetings are scheduled, audio visual is set up, refreshments and other necessary arrangements are made. Prepare agenda and minutes.
- Manage physician expirable documents: run reports, follow up with physicians and medical offices, upload current documents to medical staff data base.
- General office duties such as answering phones, greeting and directing customers, ordering office supplies and other duties as assigned.
- Facilitates physician’s monthly emergency on call schedules: Follow up with medical groups for upcoming calendars, upload and update as needed.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Degree
- One to two years related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fire Safety, upon hire
