CLH Director National Product Leader - Chemical Cleaning

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Director National Product Leader – Chemical Cleaning that will report to the VP of National Product Line. The Director will be responsible for executing profitable revenue and margin growth of their assigned lines of products that are performed within the industrial group. The Director will be responsible for the overall strategy to drive aggressive and consistent profitable growth of the business, in terms of growing market share, share of wallet, sales profitability, and operational excellence.

Preferred location is Texas but will consider candidates throughout the United States.

  • Responsible for the revenue growth for the particular line of business as assigned. Revenue growth must be aggressive and meet corporate and organizational targets and must be consistent from year to year.
  • Creates strategic initiatives and development plans for their national product line. This person works to understand business objectives and develop the appropriate strategies to achieve aggressive growth business goals across their product line.
  • Analyze business units’ market intelligence information and providing key data, research and analysis for macro economy, market and industry trends and competitor changes.
  • Identify new revenue streams including ancillary revenue streams.
  • Research the market trends to identify the customer demand for the proposed products and services.
  • Collect and evaluate customer requirements/needs (Voice of Customer) and business data (Market Research) to create a business plan.
  • Gain competitive intelligence and synthesize competitive insights. Understands the changing competitor strategies with regards to Pricing, Operational, Facility Assets, and Value Proposition. Effectively articulates these items to Corporate Sales & Marketing as well as the Sales & Service organization. Directly responsible for collaborating and formulating effective action plans with their peers within the company.
  • Provide expert resources to assist field sales and vertical sales.
  • Navigate and enable matrix organization to deliver consistent and measurable growth within the various product lines.
  • Potentially responsible for Product line Managers who develop new products, programs and service offerings to complete or complement our offering to our target customers to enhance our leadership position.
  • Work with sales and product line managers to create business development strategies that aligns itself with the LOB goals including target accounts, pricing strategies and key project opportunities.
  • Responsible for defining the value proposition of each product line. Works with Corporate Sales Marketing and Sales in developing sales support material, technical presentations, etc.
  • Analyze and make recommendations on new branch locations or other service offerings that will drive growth of the business.
  • Monitors and reports product line performance by vertical, by district and by business unit.
  • Works with finance to mine data that will show business trends and direction are provides usable data to make recommendations to management.
  • Uphold and role-model corporate core values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related is required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze data as it relates to the revenue and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to translate financial and statistical data into understandable terms for line managers.
  • Ability to organize action items into ongoing and sustainable programs.
  • Financial management, operations, or business development experience.
  • Ability to understand an issue and address and resolve strategically.
  • Extremely organized and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the environmental or related industries.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
