Skills and CompetenciesExperience working with Agile product development processesPrior experience as a technical business analyst or technical product managerExperience analyzing and designing relational and non-relational datasets, including complex entity relationshipsProficiency in SQL for data analysis or similar AI-enabled data platformsExperience partnering with Legal, Risk, and Data Governance to ensure data privacy and regulatory complianceDemonstrated ability to navigate a matrixed environment and drive stakeholder alignmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with persistence in delivering solutionsBasic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with interest in applying AI tools and responsible AI practicesEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, data science, or a related fieldResponsibilitiesThe Director of Data Governance – Data Modeling leads the development and governance of enterprise data models to ensure trusted, scalable, and AI-ready data across Moody’s Analytics.Own and maintain the enterprise Logical Data Model as the authoritative source for entities and relationshipsTranslate business use cases into scalable, standardized data modeling requirementsEnsure conceptual consistency across data stores, APIs, and consumption layersDefine and manage enterprise relationship models, including structure and documentation standardsEstablish and enforce modeling standards to ensure scalability and alignment across domainsPartner with Data Quality teams to align modeling with quality rules and governance standardsDrive AI-ready data modeling practices, including clear semantics and stable relationshipsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve modeling conflicts and improve data integrityAbout the TeamThe Moody’s Data Governance team operates as a centralized capability within the Data Estate, ensuring that data is trusted, well-governed, and aligned to customer use cases across Moody’s Analytics.
