We hire people who are equal parts investor and builder because we believe both capital and operational excellence is needed in this next chapter of women’s sports.Location: New York, Los Angeles, or RemoteRole type: Full-timeResponsibilities:Research market trends to identify potential investment opportunitiesDevelop deep domain expertise across sports business models and within the women’s sports marketConduct diligence on potential investments including evaluating market dynamics, team, and financial opportunityBuild investment analysis materials including financial projection models and returns calculationsCreate presentation materials including investment memos, stakeholder education materials, and investor updatesCollaborate with portfolio companies to help with hiring, strategic projects, capital raising, and other initiativesAssist in building out fund initiatives to support our portfolio companies and the women’s sports ecosystemQualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or JD preferred5-7+ years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, sports, investing, or FP&APrior experience in a sports team, league, or other sports operating roleStrong financial modeling and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to thrive as an independent thinker and in a collaborative, team settingPassion for women’s sports and advancing gender and racial equity in sportsCareer path: All hires at Monarch are people we hope will stay with the firm for the long-run and have the opportunity for career progression over time.
