What You Can Expect
Responsible for supporting the daily operations of the laboratory at Zimmer Biomet Shannon facilities and for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment for the necessary assigned tasks per area work instructions.
Responsible for preparing analytical reagents and standards, running analytical instruments such as ICP-OES and GC-MS. May also be responsible for ensuring that equipment calibration and maintenance (preventive and/or corrective) is performed. Responsible for preparing samples for analysis with high attention to details and GDP rules of a medical device industry laboratory. Equipment qualification experience and familiarity with SAP will be bonus.
How You'll Create Impact
- Independently collect data from predefined test/experiments and record output.
- Data entry and critical peer review of test results.
- Perform and/or ensure that required qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment and machinery is completed.
- Contribute to analytical method development, method validation and report preparation as per the ICH Q3 and Zimmer Biomet’s internal procedures.

- Must be willing to abide by procedures, ISO 13485, GMP’s etc. required by the job.

- Must be able to plan and organize own work activities to complete job assignments within allotted time and do so under pressure of constant deadlines.
- Must be able to perform lab weekend checks when required.
- Must possess sound communication skills, both written and verbal, for accurate documentation of testing and lab procedures.
- Must be able to work in a laboratory environment and possess basic knowledge of laboratory/analytical operations.
Your Background
- College/University courses in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering Mechanics, Medical Technology or other related field preferred.
- 0 – 3 years applied experience required.
- Must be able to work overtime as the job demands with compensation.
