Skip to main contentSign InDigital Streaming Content Producer page is loadedDigital Streaming Content ProducerApplylocationsMA, Chicopeetime typeFull timeposted onPosted 26 Days Agojob requisition idREQ-42019The Digital Producer leads the transition from broadcast focused newsrooms to multi-platform newsrooms through active daily example; providing training in methods, processes and tactics; as well as in creating/editing original content beyond that which is produced for on-air.WWLP-TV is looking for a Digital / Streaming Content Producer to write and develop content for our connected TV channel – 22NewsPlus.The ideal candidate will:Quickly write accurate, concise, and clear News stories that employ AP Style and are free of typos, grammatical errors, and spelling/punctuation mistakesWrite and edit scripts, intros, and other program material in a conversational, viewer-friendly style for streaming audiencesIntegrate digital content with broadcast coverage, working with the assignment desk, show producers, and on-air reportersBe comfortable with digital technology, managing video livestreams and editing and posting video clips to WWLP.com and WWLP's social media channelsServe as a content creator willing to produce stories/segments and host and/or guest host one or more live digital productions on 22NewsPlusAssist and co-produce live stream digital newscastsResponsibilitiesProduce and edit video content using 22NewsPlus Studio and other toolsEnsure all content meets high standards of journalistic integrity and production qualityResearch and analyze details to provide complete, accurate storiesHost 22NewsPlus shows from our streaming studioArrange interviews with people for exclusive 22NewsPlus showsSelf-direct a show through 22NewsPlus Studio setup and coordinate guests for in-studio or remote appearancesPlan content for each dayCoordinate with reporters, anchors, and digital teams to ensure breaking news reaches all platforms (22NewsPlus, web, Facebook, YouTube) in real timeMonitor social media accounts and post content on our social channelsMonitor analytics and viewer behavior to help shape content decisionsKeep up to date with local, state, national, and world newsWrite and edit stories for the web and other digital platforms/channelsOther projects and duties as assignedDesired SkillsExperience with or familiarity with live production systems (vMix, switchers, ENPS, or similar streaming tools)Basic knowledge of WordPress, Akta, or similar digital content management systemsOn-Camera skills and abilityFamiliarity with delivering content on a regular basis and meeting deadlinesStrong communications skillsAbility to work alone without supervision on a program or projectAnnual Salary $45,000.00EEO Statement: Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledSCAM ALERT: Please be aware candidates may be at risk of being targeted by scammers seeking personal data or money.
