Job Description
As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Guard in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, security-related concerns, and/or access control issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report policy violations or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with de-escalation of tense situations, support visitor management processes, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients, staff, and guests.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Must be able to restrain individuals, if necessary.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
