This role will improve how simulation data is generated, managed, analyzed, and used in engineering decisions through scalable workflows, automation, and analytics.
What You’ll Do
Create and improve workflows for simulation data generation, storage, traceability, analysis, and reuse
Build automation pipelines for simulation execution, post-processing, reporting, and data quality checks
Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, Databricks, and SQL-based tools to manage datasets and automate workflows
Partner with simulation engineers and cross-functional teams to connect models, data, and analysis into efficient end-to-end workflows
Standardize data structures, metadata, documentation, and best practices to improve speed, consistency, and reliability
Drive cultural change toward data-driven, automated simulation workflows through example implementations, training, and ongoing guidance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years experience supporting CAE, simulation, or other engineering data workflows
Experience in workflow automation, data processing, or tool development for engineering, simulation, analytics, or technical software teams
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling, and scripting for workflow automation and data analysis
Experience with Databricks, SQL, and structured data management
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to create, communicate, and build support for a strategic vision around simulation data workflows, automation, and engineering analytics
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years experience supporting CAE, simulation, or other engineering data workflows
Experience with simulation input/output data, post-processing tools, and engineering analysis pipelines
Experience with Python, statistical analysis, and data quality or validation workflows
Experience in automotive, vehicle dynamics, multibody simulation, or broader physical simulation environments
