As a Senior Accountant , you will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with Serbian accounting regulations and IFRS requirements, while ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. You will support group reporting activities, including balance sheet and cash flow reporting, and oversee tax compliance processes such as VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings. As a key finance expert, you will collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, monitor changes in local accounting and tax legislation, and assess their impact on the business. You will also supervise accounting controls, provisions, and reconciliations, support transfer pricing activities and intercompany transactions, coordinate reporting requirements with the National Bank of Serbia and other regulatory institutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Serbian accounting regulations and IFRS requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Support group reporting, balance sheet and cash flow reporting activities
• Manage tax compliance processes, including VAT, corporate income tax and other statutory tax filings
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors and ensure audit readiness
• Monitor changes in local accounting and tax legislation and assess business impact
• Supervise accounting controls, provisions and reconciliations
• Support transfer pricing activities and intercompany transactions
• Coordinate reporting requirements toward the National Bank of Serbia and other regulatory institutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes

Your Profile:

·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

·  8–12 years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with a Master's degree should have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

·  Strong knowledge of Serbian accounting regulations, IFRS standards, and statutory reporting requirements.

·  Proven experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes within a complex business environment.

·  Solid understanding of VAT, corporate income tax, and other local tax regulations.

·  Experience working with multinational organizations and group reporting processes is preferred.

·  Ability to independently manage highly complex accounting matters and assignments of significant scope and business impact.

·  Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions and set priorities in ambiguous situations.

·  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

·  Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and international teams, auditors, regulatory authorities, and senior management.

·  Proactive mindset, ownership, and a continuous improvement approach to processes and controls.

·  Advanced English language skills, both written and spoken.

·  Experience with SAP, transfer pricing activities, and/or professional accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA) would be considered an advantage.
