Position Summary This position will design and develop tooling that leverages WebAssmply (Wasm) implementations within F5 data planes. A successful candidate values developer and customer experience and can connect that to technical decisions. Primary Responsibilities Design and implement new developer tooling, from concept to production Aid product development teams developing features using this tooling to improve the implementation Profile and optimize performance Help set expectations with software, architecture, and hardware stakeholders Work with geographically distributed compiler, architecture and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions Qualifications 6-8 years of prior software development work experience or related. Experience with WebAssembly highly desirable Several years of experience developing for proxy/load balancing/networking use cases in a significant commercial or open-source context Background shipping in several paradigms such as SaaS, deployed software, customer deployed infrastructure, etc. Proficiency in a variety of development styles and languages, both static and dynamic Strong design and analytical skills in tooling and developer experience Excellent leadership and collaboration skills Strong background in software engineering principles with a focus on crafting robust and maintainable solutions to challenging problems Good communication and documentation skills The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
