As a Project Manager, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.  Our work depends on a Project Manager joining us as a member of the client’s Cyber Systems Team, specializing in providing guidance and support to the client’s Cyber-focused technology and infrastructure.

HOW A PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Project Manager will support the customer with programmatic and integration support for Cyber services in the following ways:

  • Provide project management and programmatic support to multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 people performing both new Engineering and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) in a Cyber Engineering mission space.
  • Identify skills and/or technology gaps and provide recommendations or solutions to bridge those.
  • Prepare communication and materials for IT systems and services for the Sponsor’s use.
  • Continually interface with Sponsor’s management to plan, present and brief information related to the Sponsor’s portfolio.
  • Prepare monthly project/program briefing slides for IT systems and services.
  • Prepare weekly updates to project schedules, actions, lessons learned, etc. and weekly reporting on highlights, impact of work, and alignment with mission priorities.
  • Provide project integration and programmatic support for IT strategic planning and associated business process improvement.
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of IT processes, IT governance, IT performance metrics and reporting.
  • Provide guidance for content development, change management, and adherence to best practices in support of Sponsor program processes and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and clarify specifications, requirements, and performance measures, leveraging your expertise to document and codify use cases for mission partners and collaborates with service providers to ensure solutions meet the operational needs. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Technical training, Certification(s) and/or Degree (Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.)
  • Required Experience: 8+ years related
  • Required skills:
  • Demonstrated project management experience within a tailored Agile environment.
  • Experience eliciting, documenting, and building to requirements, often from external stakeholders.
  • Experience providing IT briefings and materials for IT applications/systems.
  • Experience with data gathering and product evaluation to determine future solutions.
  • Experience with reviewing documentation and revising existing processes and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, and input/output requirements.
  • Experience with updating IT project schedules, tracking actions, and providing demonstrations.
  • Experience working within a dynamic team.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience communicating effectively with a variety of business partners and customers and have a demonstrated capacity to develop effective interpersonal relationships; strong analytic and organization skills; self-starting skills; the ability to work effectively and independently, with little direction; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with enterprise cybersecurity management platforms.
  • Experience with implementation and assessment of security controls that support authorization and accreditation processes. 
  • Experience supporting the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Recommended Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Location: Herndon, VA customer site
  • US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
