As an SME, duties may include the following: Quality Management System, ISO/IEC 17025, method validations, assessment of client data, instrumentation expertise/troubleshooting, performing technical internal audits, and/or monitoring proficiency testing performance.JOB FUNCTIONSParticipate in the establishment or improvement of methods through validations, verifications and transfers in alignment with the current technical requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.Prepare technical templates for protocols and procedures as applicable.Provide technical expertise, instrumentation expertise, and troubleshooting guidance as a SME.Contribute to the training and development of all technical staff in standardised, technical quality policies and procedures.Monitor internal QC and PT performance for biases in local laboratoryPrepare statistical data evaluation for client complaints, audit findings, PT/RR performance and/or quality control failures as assignedMay work as a backup in designated areas as directed by the Site or Techincal Director.As a SME, support special network-related projects as assigned by the Site or Technical Director.QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BSc degree (or equivalent work experience) RequiredPrevious experience in validation and verification of methods PreferredPrevious experience with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements PreferredPrevious experience in a Quality Control related role PreferredHigh-end Instrumentation Background (HPLC, GC, ICP, MS, etc.) RequiredAdditional InformationSGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristics protected by law.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
