Come and join us at SGS in Mt Thorley, NSW. Get an opportunity to learn about coal sampling and testing.Job DescriptionSGS Australia is looking for Casual Laboratory Technician in Mt Thorley, NSW. Flexibility is critical as you may be required to complete day, afternoon and/or night shifts on weekdays or weekends.Working as part of a fast-paced, team, you will be responsible for:Accurately conducting physical coal testing and analysis of routine samplesReceipting, recording, sorting and storing coal samples as requiredCompliance with analytical methods, procedures and SGS Quality Systems & onsite HSE StandardsDay to day upkeep of analytical and sample preparation equipment.Delivery of quality samples to both internal and external customersQualificationsPrevious coal sampling and testing experience would be an advantage.The successful candidate will also have:Tertiary qualifications and previous experience in a similar laboratory is desirableStrong communication skillsThe ability to work in a team environment and the ability to meet tight deadlinesA flexible schedule to cover various shifts and rostersA valid driver's licence and reliable transport are essentialPlease note that this role will involve manual handling.A can do attitude to strive for better and be part of a dynamic teamIf you’re seeking a flexible casual opportunity and enjoy hands-on technical work, we encourage you to apply Now.
