Accouting Manager

Function: Finance

Scope: Local

Location: Bosques de las Lomas, CDMX.

Jop Purpose:

Holds business intimacy and stakeholders management. Ensures market-level financial integrity, compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, controls enforcement, Inflight initiatives and ad-Hocs. 

Key Responsabilities:

  • Pre- Close & Month-End Close Management: Balance sheet review, understanding of variances, analysis over the financial statements, professional judgment review and understanding including JE definition and approval. Includes Statutory analysis. Strong relationships with GBS (R2R team) holding accountable of the support they need to provide.
  • Financial Reporting Accountability ensures accuracy and compliance of financial reports under IFRS or local GAAP standards. Holds accountable of Financial Statements.
  • Financial Controls ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate requirements, maintaining an adequate control environment while working in alignment with Risk Management.
  • Audit and Regulatory Interface Manages and owns the responsibility of the external audit, timing and accounting of any financial adjustment needed. Accountable for resolving issues from internal and external reviews under its scope
  • Governance and Decision-Making: Maintains independence, manages risks and escalations, and upholds financial discipline in the market.
  • Legacy and regulatory. local access. E.g. Access to different banks platforms that required a local intervention.
  • Simplification, standardization, and centralization of processes under the Regional Controllership framework
  • Compliance with the different group of interests (regulators / banks / local KPMG) and global policies (APM, SCOA, others) as well as local.
  • Inflight Initiatives Global Projects participation (e.g. Verdi / Apollo) Local projects (e.g: capital reduction, Legal entities merger, divestment of local investments, others)
  • Role of Advisor and business partnering being part of the decision making in the country.
  • Talen development within Finance.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant or related degree.
  • Experience in Controlling, as well as skills related to management reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and financial systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Advanced level of English.
