The Registered Professional Nurse plays a vital role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN assesses patient needs, identifies changes in health status, develops and implements evidence-based nursing interventions, and evaluates outcomes to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Required Education:
- Graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BSN preferred at time of hire.
- BSN required within three years of hire for all nurses hired after April 30, 2014.
Required Licensure/Certifications (All Positions):
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the state of Florida.
- AMCCC certification required within one year of employment.
- NRP certification required within one year of employment.
- Must meet aircraft weight and height requirements:
- Maximum weight: 240 pounds fully outfitted to perform the job.
- Maximum height: 6’3”.
Professional Nursing Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing practice experience required.
- 4–5 years of nursing experience preferred.
- May substitute 2 years of nursing experience with:
- Critical care nursing experience, or
- Flight paramedic experience.
Adult/Pediatric Transport Position Requirements:
- Current EMT-Paramedic certification in the state of Florida.
- Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), ENPC, PEPP, or equivalent
- ITLS, PHTLS, or TNCC
- CFRN, CCRN, or CEN certification required within two years of hire.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Must have completed a Florida-approved EVOC driving course or be eligible to attend EVOC.
Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years full-time RN experience (4,000 hours).
- At least 1 year (2,000 hours) of Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Completion of neonatal transport stabilization program within one year of hire.
- CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or other approved neonatal-related national certification required within two years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated clinical skills in:
- Pre-hospital care
- Emergency nursing
- Intensive care nursing
- Specialty nursing board certification (CFRN, CCRN, or CEN) at time of hire preferred.
- Instructor status preferred in:
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS
- AMCCC and NRP certifications preferred at time of hire.
Motor Vehicle Operator Requirements:
- Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
