Activities:
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within the scope of certification, following engineering procedures, applicable codes, and industry standards to ensure product integrity and quality.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and hardness inspections using calibrated measuring instruments to verify compliance with technical specifications.
- Interpret NDT procedures, record inspection results, and prepare technical inspection reports for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring traceability and accurate documentation.
- Perform equipment calibration, when qualified, and inspect tools and equipment to verify operational condition and identify maintenance or repair requirements.
- Evaluate wear and critical areas of equipment, identify repair needs, and support maintenance planning by specifying required replacement parts.
- Provide technical support to Service teams and customers, collaborating with other NOV locations when required to ensure consistent and effective solutions.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, polishing, and finishing activities, when required and qualified, in accordance with technical and quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, and corporate procedures while promoting continuous improvement and escalating critical issues to supervision when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector.
- Strong background in dimensional inspection.
- Good knowledge of GD&T and Quality Control (QC) reports.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Technical degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASNT or ABENDI certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and/or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
