The Software Factory within Digital & IT is a global team of about 150 employees based across Europe, the Americas, and APAC. Our mission is to standardize practices and accelerate software development across Air Liquide. By harmonizing our global way of working and leveraging AI to expedite delivery, we significantly improve developer productivity to maximize value for our employees and the Group.Beyond delivery, the Software Factory is committed to fostering talent development, providing our developers with a platform to master emerging technologies like Generative AI and transition into the high-impact roles of tomorrow.
As the Software Development Team Lead within the Software Factory in Brazil currently known as Codebox, you will lead a multi-disciplinary technical team of software developers working across various programming languages and technologies. You are a hands-on technical leader who bridges technical excellence, automation, and talent growth.
You will promote code optimization, drive the reuse of software components to reduce development costs, and ensure our products are built for scale while remaining flexible enough to be customized for different regions (countries and business lines) across the Americas. Ultimately, you are responsible for turning cutting-edge technology into repeatable, high-impact business solutions.
Technical Leadership
Coding & Optimization: Lead by example by writing and optimizing clean, efficient code, while coaching developers to do the same for their own deliverables.
Modular Architecture & Reuse: Design and enforce a software architecture centered on component reuse to minimize repetitive effort, reduce development costs, and accelerate time-to-market.
Scalability & Customization: Ensure products are architected to scale seamlessly while allowing easy customization to meet the unique needs of various countries and business lines.
AI-Driven Delivery: Lead the adoption of modern AI tools and automated pipelines to actively expedite delivery and optimize the developer workflow.
People Management
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a diverse team of developers specializing in multiple languages and technology stacks.
Performance & Goals: Establish clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and align team goals with the Software Factory's delivery targets.
Project & Delivery Management
Project Delivery: Take ownership of project execution, ensuring milestones are met on time, within budget, and to Air Liquide's quality standards.
Communication: Act as the primary bridge between the development team, product managers, and key stakeholders.
Way of Working Harmonization: Work closely with international counterparts (Europe, APAC, North America) to align and harmonize engineering practices, ensuring a unified, global approach to development.

Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing and developing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Breadth: Hands-on experience across multiple programming languages, modern frameworks, and diverse software architectures.
Architecture Savvy: Deep understanding of designing scalable, modular systems with a strong emphasis on component reusability.
Agile Mindset: Strong experience with Agile methodologies and managing sprint delivery cycles.
Global Collaboration: Experience working within cross-functional, global teams across different time zones and cultures.
Communication: Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across different regions and business units.
