PMO Team Leader
Lead with purpose. Deliver with impact.
If you are an experienced professional who thrives in complex project environments and brings strong expertise in system compliance, resourcing, and risk management, ERM invites you to join us as a PMO Team Leader. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to project delivery—ensuring projects run effectively, compliantly, and with the right resources in place.
Why This Role Matters
As a PMO Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered in line with ERM’s systems, processes, and compliance standards. You will act as a key partner to project teams—supporting resourcing, forecasting, and risk management—while providing hands-on guidance to keep delivery on track.
This is a highly operational role, suited for someone who understands how projects are executed on the ground and can translate that knowledge into strong governance and performance outcomes.
What Your Impact Is
- Ensure system compliance by aligning project delivery with ERM’s processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
- Support effective project execution through hands-on involvement in delivery activities and problem-solving.
- Drive resource planning and forecasting, ensuring the right talent is allocated to projects at the right time.
- Monitor and manage project risks, proactively identifying issues and supporting mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to financial oversight, including budgeting and utilization tracking.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, while maintaining a strong focus on delivery and outcomes (people leadership is important but secondary to execution in this role).
What You Will Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in project delivery, PMO, or consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, system compliance, and governance structures.
- Proven experience in resource forecasting, budgeting, and project planning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk and support project teams in execution.
Preferred
- Experience working in consulting or technical project environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise PMO systems and compliance tools.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience supporting large, multi-disciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
System & Compliance Oversight

- Provide guidance on how projects should be structured and delivered within established frameworks.
Project Delivery Support
- Work closely with project teams to support execution and resolve delivery challenges.
- Act as a key partner in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Resourcing & Forecasting
- Lead resource planning, allocation, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure optimal utilization of team members across projects.
Risk & Financial Management
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance management.
Team Support & Coordination
- Provide guidance and oversight to team members, with a focus on enabling delivery success.
- Foster collaboration across teams and functions to drive project outcomes.
What Sets This Role Apart
This is not a traditional people-manager role. While team leadership is part of the position, the primary focus is on hands-on project support, system compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is someone who is deeply familiar with how projects run day-to-day and can step in to guide, support, and improve delivery outcomes.
