The role focuses on backend data development, including building data structures, preparing data marts, and ensuring reliable data delivery for business users. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, while supporting data consistency, optimisation, and operational excellence within a dynamic and evolving environment.What you’ll do Develop, maintain, and optimise data structures and data marts within the BI application layer\Build and support ETL processes from source systems into the data warehouseCreate and maintain SQL/BTEQ scripts for data preparation and provisioningEnsure data quality, consistency, and performance across BI systemsSupport production environments through issue resolution, root cause analysis, and system maintenanceDesign and implement enhancements to existing data models and staging areasCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutionsContribute to ongoing system optimisation, simplification, and performance improvementSupport business users in system usage and data interpretationParticipate in projects and service processes, including demand fulfilment and operational supportWho you are Experienced in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse developmentStrong expertise in SQL, including advanced scripting (Teradata, Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar)Skilled in handling large datasets and applying data transformation techniquesFamiliar with Unix/Linux environments and basic shell scriptingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex dataEffective communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative and able to work across teams and manage stakeholder expectationsComfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlinesExperience in telecom environments is beneficialExposure to tools such as Python, GCP, version control systems, and workflow schedulers is advantageousNot a perfect fit?
