Our client base today includes hundreds of investors and asset managers monitoring more than $5.9 trillion in invested capital with 8 of the 10 largest GPs and 5 of the 10 largest LPs using Chronograph.
The Opportunity
Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. Chronograph is opening its first dedicated Client Development presence in Singapore, and we're seeking an accomplished and ambitious sales professional to help drive new client acquisition across the region — selling into both General Partner (GP) fund managers and Limited Partner (LP) institutional investors. This is a role for someone who is hungry for impact — a consultative closer who can operate with the credibility and polish that both fund managers and institutional investors expect, while thriving in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
You will report to the Director, Client Development EMEA/APAC with a dotted line to the Global Head of Sales , and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Client Solutions, and Account Management to help establish and grow our client development function out of Singapore. Your focus will span the full sales lifecycle — from lead generation and initial scoping through proof of concept, negotiation, and close — with responsibility for building Chronograph's footprint among both GPs and LPs across the APAC region. As the first Client Development hire in the region, you will play a central role in shaping how the sales function scales here — directly informing the hiring plan, territory design, and go-to-market approach for the team that follows.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to become directly engaged with several of the world's most sophisticated private equity investors and fund managers, and produce immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm — with outsized influence over how Chronograph builds its sales presence in one of the fastest-growing private capital markets globally.
As a Director of Client Development focused on GP & LP Sales at Chronograph, you will:
- Drive new ARR from both private capital General Partners (fund managers) and Limited Partners (institutional investors) across APAC, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Collaborate with the Director, Client Development EMEA/APAC, Global Head of Sales and executive leadership to develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy spanning both GP and LP client segments
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and client advocate throughout the engagement journey, including lead generation, needs scoping, presentation, proof of concept design and execution, negotiation, and onboarding
- Develop a deep understanding of both GP and LP client use cases — including portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, and data management workflows — to deliver thoughtful, tailored solutions to each
- Conduct compelling and adaptive sales presentations for executive-level stakeholders at some of the world's most sophisticated fund managers and institutional investors
- Heavily support Chronograph's regional team-building efforts — helping define hiring priorities, onboarding process, and the operating rhythm for future Client Development hires in APAC
- Identify opportunities to refine and improve the client development process as the APAC function scales
- Travel as needed for in-person client and prospect meetings across the region, plus periodic travel to Chronograph's global offices
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Minimum six (6) or more years of professional experience in enterprise software sales or private capital markets
- A proven track record of sales success in a software sales or professional services environment serving the finance industry
- Experience working with or selling to both GP fund managers and LP institutional investors — including private equity firms, fund of funds, endowments, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, or similar
- An established professional network across private capital markets in Singapore and the broader APAC region
- An ability to quickly distill complex client needs and develop creative, solutions-oriented responses
- Superb written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with C-suite and investment-level stakeholders
- Strong ability to independently prioritize, manage, and advance multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership aptitude and a collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to help build a team or function from an early stage
- Comfort operating across time zones and geographies, with the flexibility to travel to Chronograph's New York headquarters annually, London office biannually, and within the APAC region as needed to support clients
- Applicants must have the existing legal right to work in Singapore on an ongoing basis without the need for employer-sponsored work pass sponsorship.
- Familiarity with private capital markets, fund structures, or investment performance reporting
- Positive attitude, sense of humor and creativity
- Strong analytical, project leadership and communication skills
Even if you do not meet all criteria, we would still encourage you to apply or get in touch! Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our team.
