As part of the AI Software team, you will contribute to the development of the Qualcomm AI Engine Direct, empowering OEMs and developers to deploy advanced deep neural networks (DNNs) on cutting-edge Qualcomm Hexagon Processors.In this role, your focus will be on integrating GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities into our on-device AI stack, enabling real-time, high-performance inference across diverse platforms—from smartphones and automotive systems to smart appliances. Replacement Position.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement high-performance software solutions that extend GenAI capabilities across customer use cases.Optimize GenAI model execution on-device, leveraging Hexagon DSPs for efficient inference and minimal latency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI features.Contribute to the development of GenAI-enhanced workflows for chip design and system optimization.Duties:Development of modern C++17 software library for Qualcomm Hexagon ProcessorsDesign and performance tune modern C++17 code for an embedded systemDevelopment of model analyzing tools for the internal and external customersUse cross compiler toolchains for embedded systems such as Android, embedded Linux, Windows on Snapdragon and QNXAddress issues found in existing and past Qualcomm AI productsImplement and optimize modern C++17 machine learning operations on Hexagon ProcessorsCommunication across globally diverse teamParticipate in software quality process improvementsPreferred Qualifications:Three or more years of relevant work experienceExperience with modern C++17 language featuresBackground in mathematical algorithms using fast math libraries and vector instructions setsPractical experience with developing middleware or firmware softwareExperience with multitasking and multithreading driver developmentExperience with Hexagon DSP SDK or cross compiler toolchains for embedded systems and JIT technologiesExperience with different NN architectures DNNs, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, GANs, LLMs, etc.Experience with low level interactions between operating systems and hardware.Experience with Qualcomm FastRPC and Windows MCDM driversExperience using/integrating Qualcomm AI Stack products (e.g. QNN, SNPE, QAIRT)Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch or ONNXExperience with tools such as git, Linux, JIRA and DockerKnowledge of object oriented programming design patternsAbility to collaborate across a globally diverse teamEducation Requirements:Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
