Physical Therapist - Wound Care (inpatient and outpatient)

Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of physical therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation, and freedom from pain. Performs related duties as assigned.

0.7 FTE Position is in busy Physical Therapy wound clinic, providing evidence-based wound care to both outpatient and inpatients at Methodist Hospital.  Previous experience or exposure to wound care preferred, additional training/mentoring provided as needed.  Position includes weekend rotation as well as one holiday per year.  

Work Schedule:

0.7 FTE (exact schedule TBD- 3-4 days per week.  Includes weekend component and one holiday per year.)

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Doctorate, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in physical therapy 

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy

     

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recommend experience as a Physical Therapist preferably in a medical setting.

  • Recommend membership in related professional organization.

  • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment. 

  • Proficient in clinical equipment related to area of expertise. 

  • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
