About the Role
The Director, Global Payroll at Veeam is responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions. This pivotal role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for all employees, supporting the company’s commitment to operational excellence and employee satisfaction. The director will work closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver seamless payroll services in a fast-paced, international software environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage global payroll operations, covering EMEA, Americas, and APJ regions.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all Veeam employees, including expatriates and remote workers.
Maintain compliance with local, national, and international payroll laws and tax regulations.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and salary information.
Implement and maintain payroll systems and software, driving automation and process improvements.
Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and oversee service delivery.
Handle payroll audits and participate in statutory reporting requirements.
Resolve complex payroll issues and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
Develop and deliver payroll-related training to HR and management teams.
Monitor and report on key payroll metrics and trends to senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Extensive experience (15 years plus) of managing multi-country payroll operations, preferably within the software or technology sector.
Strong understanding of global payroll regulations, compliance, and tax issues.
Proficiency with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, etc.).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and departments.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
Bonus Skills
Professional payroll certification (such as CPP, CIPP, or equivalent).
Experience working in a rapidly growing, international software company.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement new technologies.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Adaptable and resilient in a fast-changing environment.
