We’ve fused cutting-edge hardware with innovative software into one powerful platform, disrupting legacy systems and delivering smarter, faster solutions for our clients.Hardware at TRACTIANThe Hardware team is responsible for designing and improving our IoT devices, dealing with every step of the development process, ranging from PCB design, firmware programming, case design, validations and certifications, always aiming to build trustworthy products that can be produced at a mass scale.What you'll doAs a Hardware Test Engineer specializing in Electronics, you will be responsible for testing and validating the electrical performance of our IoT devices. What does that entail? Designing and executing electrical validation plans, simulating operational conditions, diagnosing failures, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Your mission is to guarantee that Tractian devices deliver reliable, precise, and durable performance in any industrial environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign and conduct electrical tests such as signal integrity, power loading, and EMC using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other data acquisition systems.Implement embedded firmware for microcontrollers to simulate operational conditions during testing and to create novel test equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot circuit issues with multimeters, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.Collaborate with design engineers to refine PCB layouts and improve circuit performance based on test findings.Document all testing procedures, results, and recommendations for improvements.Ensure compliance with electronic safety standards and regulations.Stay up to date with advancements in electronic testing methodologies and equipment.Requirements3+ years of experience in electronic hardware testing, validation, and debugging.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, programmable power supplies, climate chambers).Experience with PCB design using EDA tools (Altium, KiCad).Knowledge of PCB design validation, including requirements testing and performance assessment.Strong background in analog, digital, and power electronics.Understanding of EMI/EMC standards and compliance testing.Proficiency with simulation software (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, Keysight ADS).Experience with test automation (Python scripting, LabVIEW).Ability to perform statistical analysis on simulated or acquired test data.Bonus PointsExperience with RF testing and wireless communication standards (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G).Familiarity with accelerated test methodologies (HALT, HASS, ALT).Knowledge of DFx methodologies (Design for Test, Reliability, Manufacturability).Contributions to open-source hardware projects or electronics communities.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary and stock options30 days of paid annual leaveEducation and courses stipendEarn a trip anywhere in the world every 4 yearsR$1.035/month for meals allowanceHealth plan with national coverage and without coparticipationDental Insurance: we help you with dental treatment for a better quality of life.Wellhub and Sports Incentive: R$300/mo extra if you practice activitiesI want to applySee alsoFirmware Quality Assurance AnalystResearch and DevelopmentSão Paulo, SPSenior Firmware EngineerResearch and DevelopmentSão Paulo, SPMechanical Design EngineerResearch and DevelopmentSão Paulo, SPView all open positionsTractian Ranked #24 Fastest-Growing Company in North AmericaRead MoreIf you want to build a ship, don't organize people to collect wood, assign them tasks, and give orders.
