This person will be responsible for providing courier services across our network of laboratories in central and southern California. When not performing courier tasks, this individual will assist with sample login responsibilities onsite at our Carson, CA laboratory.JOB FUNCTIONSOperate on a routed schedule for pick up and/or delivery of materials within established timeframesObey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation proceduresLoad and unload trucks, vans, or automobilesReport any mechanical problems encountered with vehiclesInspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with company regulationsUse of automatic routing or location software, such as a GPS, provided by the company.Ensure that compliance to ISO 17025 standards is maintainedMiscellaneous duties as assignedWORK SCHEDULE - Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PMQualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED RequiredValid Drivers License RequiredClean driving record RequiredKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESIs punctual, reliable, and exercises good judgmentAbility to interact with clients as a responsible representative of the companyADDITIONAL KSASAbility to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, highly professional environment.VISION REQUIREMENT Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches/50 centimeters or less) RequiredDistance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet/6 meters or more) RequiredPeripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given post) RequiredDepth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and three-dimensional relationship) RequiredAbility to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) RequiredAbility to see color Required CompensationThe expected salary range for this position is $20-22/hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
