A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.Local Team Collaboration:At Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.As a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.Excellent subspecialty support.Qualifications:Board certification required.Prior hospitalist inpatient strongly preferred, or hospital-based experience as a Physician Assistant.If a new grad PA, inpatient rotations during training in hospital medicine are required.Authorized to work in the United States.Scheduling:This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month.Block schedule.Key Responsibilities:This position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.We welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.The population we serve is very ill. The happiest team members thrive on complexity and high acuity, knowing they are making a difference with strong support around them at all times.Living and working in Bridgeton:Bridgeton isn’t just where we work—it’s where we live, connect, and enjoy the convenience of a suburban lifestyle with easy access to the best of St. Louis.
