Position Summary We are seeking an AI Agent Engineer to join the OCMO (Office of the Chief Marketing Officer) team at F5. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying AI agents and automation solutions that improve operational workflows across the business. You will collaborate with OCMO business stakeholders to turn operational needs into practical AI solutions, making sure those solutions are safe, reliable, and fit within the overall company AI architecture standards. Core responsibilities include building agents and apps, integrating advanced AI models, designing prompts, automations, and workflows to drive productivity gains and operational excellence. You will combine engineering expertise, an understanding of frontier AI applications, and customer-facing skills to understand customer workflows and develop innovative solutions that address complex business challenges while maintaining our high standards for safety and reliability. This role also includes a necessity to influence across the company. Building tools is one thing, making sure they are designed and secured appropriately and influencing others to get approval for those tools to be deployed is the end goal. Candidates must have hands-on experience building and deploying agentic applications with modern foundational AI models from Google, OpenAI , and Anthropic , strong automation skills, and expertise in prompt engineering for ethical, user-focused AI. Problem-solving ability, repeatable solution development, and clear communication in cross-functional settings are essential. The role combines prompt engineering, agent development, and operational deployment, ensuring solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise governance standards. You will collaborate with OCMO business teams to refine workflows, iterate on solutions, and drive adoption, while partnering with Digital (IT) to ensure architectural alignment. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, technical curiosity, the ability to translate real operational problems into AI-enabled (or non-AI-enabled) solutions, and the capability to rapidly prototype and deploy automation through short execution cycles. Primary Responsibilities / What You’ll Do Discover operational workflow needs of the OCMO community which would benefit from an AI, Agentic, or automation deliverable, prioritize those needs, and execute with agility. Have an opinion, recommend, and deliver alternative (Non-AI) solutions to meet the operational needs of the OCMO community when those solutions are superior to an AI-Enabled solution. Develop, deploy, document, and maintain AI agents, apps, and automation solutions that improve operational workflows. Design, test, and refine prompts and agent behaviors to consistently deliver reliable and high-quality outputs from generative AI systems.
