Serve as the organization’s recognized expert in healthcare product strategy, portfolio management, and AI-enabled SaaS solutions, providing thought leadership that influences portfolio strategy, investment decisions, product management governance, enterprise growth strategies, and long-term business performance. Lead the strategic direction of a portfolio of products and platforms, shaping enterprise product strategy, investment priorities, commercialization approaches, innovation opportunities, and long-range business planning. Anticipate emerging healthcare, regulatory, competitive, and technology trends and translate insights into business and product strategies that drive customer value, market differentiation, sustainable growth, and competitive advantage. Partner directly with executive leadership to influence organizational priorities, multi-year investment strategies, resource allocation decisions, and business-unit growth planning through strategic expertise, market insight, and data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Product & Portfolio Strategy

  • Define and drive long-term strategy across multiple products, platforms, and solution areas within the healthcare technology portfolio.
  • Partner directly with executive leadership to shape enterprise growth strategies, long-range investment roadmaps, and portfolio evolution plans that influence organizational direction.
  • Influence strategic decisions related to market expansion, adjacent growth opportunities, platform investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and innovation initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations that guide multi-year portfolio funding strategies and long-term investment priorities across the organization.
  • Evaluate portfolio trade-offs and recommend prioritization of investments across products, platforms, innovation initiatives, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Establish portfolio-level objectives, investment frameworks, and success measures that align product investments with organizational goals.

Recognized Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as the organization’s recognized expert in healthcare product strategy, portfolio management, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leaders by providing strategic recommendations that influence product, commercial, operational, and business decisions.

  • Influence business-unit growth strategies through recommendations regarding new market opportunities, platform strategy, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Serve as a strategic partner in annual operating planning and long-range business planning processes, helping shape organizational priorities and investment decisions.
  • Provide executive leaders with strategic insights regarding future growth opportunities, competitive threats, investment options, and portfolio performance.
  • Shape organizational decision-making through recommendations that impact growth, profitability, customer outcomes, and long-term business performance.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Clinical, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership functions to drive alignment on strategic initiatives.

Functional Strategy & Product Management Excellence

  • Lead the evolution of Product Management governance, portfolio management standards, operating models, strategic planning methodologies, and prioritization frameworks used across the organization.
  • Establish enterprise-wide standards governing portfolio planning, investment prioritization, business case development, product performance management, and lifecycle governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Product Management operating mechanisms and strategic planning practices across the organization.
  • Influence the future direction of the Product Management function through frameworks, governance models, capability development, and organizational best practices.
  • Mentor Product Managers and Product Leaders through expertise, coaching, and thought leadership without direct management responsibility.

Portfolio Performance & Commercial Strategy

  • Own portfolio-level business cases and influence investment recommendations across multiple products, platforms, and solution areas.
  • Shape pricing strategies, commercialization approaches, market positioning, packaging strategies, and growth initiatives.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, customer outcomes, retention, and market expansion.
  • Partner with Finance and executive leadership to evaluate strategic investments, resource allocation decisions, and portfolio optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend adjustments to investment priorities based on portfolio performance, market conditions, competitive dynamics, and business objectives.

Innovation & Complex Problem Solving

  • Anticipate emerging business, market, technology, and regulatory challenges that may significantly affect organizational success.
  • Solve highly complex and ambiguous business problems with broad cross-functional and portfolio implications.

  • Continuously evaluate healthcare industry trends, regulatory developments, customer workflows, interoperability requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Translate customer insights into strategic recommendations that influence portfolio planning, product investments, and organizational priorities.
  • Influence organizational understanding of future market opportunities, customer needs, industry shifts, and competitive risks.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Anticipate regulatory, privacy, cybersecurity, interoperability, and AI governance risks that may affect portfolio strategy and business objectives.
  • Recommend enterprise-level approaches to address emerging compliance, security, market, and operational risks.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Quality, and Security leaders to ensure product strategies support long-term scalability and regulatory alignment.
  • Influence governance decisions related to responsible AI adoption, healthcare compliance, product risk management, and strategic planning.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, Finance or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Deep expertise in product strategy, portfolio management, healthcare technology, SaaS business models, and AI-enabled product development.
  • Demonstrated success influencing strategic business, portfolio, and investment decisions with measurable organizational impact.
  • Expertise in market analysis, customer research, portfolio planning, commercialization strategy, and business case development.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience influencing multi-year portfolio investment decisions and strategic resource allocation.
  • Ability to anticipate emerging business, customer, technology, competitive, and regulatory challenges and develop strategic responses.
  • Exceptional executive communication, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead highly complex initiatives through influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to travel 25-30% is required.
