Working in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment, you will leverage modern cloud-native technologies, microservices architectures, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions while influencing technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices.Responsibilities:Responsible for implementing micro-services from design to production.Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations of the team, with containerized API servicesParticipate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features / componentsEnsuring application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application designWork with a small, cross-functional team on products and features to drive growth.Learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to growResearch and suggest new technologies for boosting the product.Have an impact on product development by making important technical decisions, influencing the system architecture, development practices and more.QualificationsA Must have B.Sc. in Computer Sciences or similarAt least 6+ years of experience in Java backend developmentProfound knowledge in OOP and design patternsExperience and knowledge of server-side technologies such as Java, SpringExperience with Docker containers, Kubernetes and Cloud environmentsExpertise in testing methodologies (Unit-testing, TDD, mocking)Fluent with Relational databases (SQL)Good problem-solving and analysis abilitiesExcellent team player with strong communication skillsLeverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery, improve code quality, and enhance engineering productivity.Advantage Experience with Azure / GCP cloud servicesExperience with large scale SQL / NoSQL databases (SingleStore, Postgres)Experience with Agile Development, or Extreme Programming methodologiesAdditional InformationOur BenefitsFlexible working environmentVolunteer time offLinkedIn LearningEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)NIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including résumé screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support, and certain administrative tasks that help streamline workflows.
