Application Packaging Lead – Enterprise Endpoint Management

Programme Leadership & Delivery Ownership
- Lead end-to-end application packaging programmes for global enterprise clients — scoping, planning, tool selection, resourcing, delivery governance, and quality assurance.
- Own delivery accountability for India packaging team SLA performance, quality metrics, and client satisfaction across all managed packaging accounts.
- Define and govern the packaging factory operating model — intake SLAs, complexity tiering, quality gates, peer review process, and escalation paths.
- Lead packaging programme governance reviews — presenting delivery metrics, risk items, and improvement plans to client and NTT DATA delivery management.
- Manage packaging engagement expansions, SOW amendments, and effort reforecasting for evolving client requirements.
Packaging Platform Architecture
- Architect the enterprise packaging platform — toolchain selection, packaging environment design, repository strategy, and deployment pipeline integration.
- Define packaging standards library — MSI authoring templates, transform standards, MSIX profiles, Intune deployment templates, and PowerShell script frameworks.
- Lead large-scale application portfolio migration programmes — MSI-to-MSIX conversions, App-V-to-MSIX migrations, and legacy repackaging at scale.
- Design and implement packaging CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps — automated build, test, validate, and publish workflows for packaged applications.
- Evaluate and implement new packaging tools and technologies — staying current with Microsoft MSIX roadmap, Intune packaging enhancements, and ISV tooling.
Advanced Technical Authority
- Serve as L3/L4 technical escalation for the most complex packaging scenarios — kernel-mode drivers, enterprise licensing systems, complex COM servers, and legacy 16-bit application strategies.
- Review and approve packaging designs for high-complexity applications before production deployment.
- Define application compatibility assessment frameworks for large portfolio projects — automated assessment tooling, complexity scoring, and packaging strategy recommendation.
- Oversee PSF fixup development, App-V strategy, and virtualisation packaging decisions for the India team.
- Contribute to NTT DATA EPM practice IP — developing reusable packaging frameworks, accelerators, and tooling assets.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop the India application packaging team across Grade 6–9.
- Define packaging competency frameworks, career progression pathways, and technical assessment criteria.
- Drive certification and upskilling programmes — AdminStudio, MSIX, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps for packaging engineers.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide structured feedback, and support talent development plans for packaging engineers.
- Define onboarding programmes and packaging training curriculum for new team members.
Client Advisory & Practice Development
- Act as trusted packaging advisor to clients — recommending packaging strategies, MSIX adoption roadmaps, and portfolio rationalisation approaches.
- Contribute to NTT DATA EPM packaging service offerings — defining service descriptions, pricing models, and delivery frameworks.
- Support pre-sales and RFP responses for packaging engagements — effort estimation, solution design, and technical proposal development.
- Represent NTT DATA India packaging capabilities in client governance forums and delivery steering meetings.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Enterprise application packaging — MSI, MSIX, App-V, .intunewin — lead-level expertise across all formats and scenarios
- Packaging platform architecture — toolchain design, CI/CD integration, repository management, quality gate governance
- AdminStudio / Flexera — expert-level including AAC, repackager, editor, tuner, and database modules
- WiX Toolset + MSIX/PSF — advanced authoring, PSF fixup framework design, large-scale migration leadership
- Intune + SCCM deployment engineering — advanced application models, Graph API automation, bulk deployment management
- PowerShell + Azure DevOps — packaging pipeline automation, CI/CD design, Graph API, SCCM SDK
- Application compatibility expertise — portfolio-level compatibility assessment, ACT, PSF, shim management
- Delivery governance — SLA management, packaging factory operations, client reporting, team performance management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102) — required
- AdminStudio or Flexera certification
- Experience with Liquidware ProfileUnity, FSLogix, or UEM platforms in packaging programmes
- Prior India packaging lead experience managing 5+ packaging engineers for global enterprise accounts
- Exposure to software asset management (SAM) and licence optimisation as part of packaging programmes
MINIMUM EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc. IT/CS) or MCA from a recognised Indian university. Advanced certifications and equivalent enterprise delivery experience will be considered.
