Your role and responsibilities The DSP Technical Specialist, Solutions Engineering role reporting into Senior Manager, DSP, will be an expert Pre-sales Solution Engineer focussed on Data Streaming Platform, Stream Processing and Flink as a product focus in particular. A successful candidate will have a background in enterprise architecture, data management and stream processing across many industries but may have speciality industries in their past. Our team is dedicated to working hand in hand with Account Executives, Sales Management and Solution Engineers in the field to achieve shared revenue goals. An effective Technical Specialist will build trusted advisor relationships with employees, customers, and partners and help their team achieve goals and targets for DSP by making our customers successful with their DSP strategies. The Technical Specialist will focus on achieving the “technical win” on opportunities by providing accurate and compelling proposed solutions with a clear value proposition and plan of success. SE’s are expected to be a player-coach to field SE’s and members of the field we support, including sales, so they need to have deep technical skills as well as understanding the business and the ability to help non-technical staff understand the principles of data streaming platforms.
