In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Distribution Center Transportation Dispatch to join our Mayer team in Norcross, GA!Summary: The Distribution Center Transportation Dispatch is responsible for routing deliveries and drivers in the most efficient way possible while maintaining delivery metrics. Will also be responsible for vehicle maintenance, setting schedules, managing expedited orders, and acting as the main point of contact between internal customers and the delivery drivers. What You'll Do: Coordinate daily route planning, staffing, and load balancing activitiesEnsure all vehicles, drivers, and processes meet both Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirementsResponsible for the complete and accurate loading process of material going out for deliveryEnsure manifest integrity for all loadsSchedule deliveries and dispatches drivers based on requirements of the customer as communicated through various media channelsKeep accurate record of deliveries and ensures manifests are properly closedCoordinate and communicates daily on-demand services as neededEnsure all assets are maintained consistent with company expectationsResponsible for building and vehicle maintenance, safety, and securityOther duties as assignedJob Duties Disclaimer: The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
