Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) team as a General Manufacturing Manager 2 in a Test Environment based out of Baltimore, MD.
This role will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 - 20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment. You will be expected to work independently and collaboratively across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented employees to maximize efficiency and achieve target productivity yields; implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage operators and M&P specialists. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong leader with experience in manufacturing and test processes, production planning, and workforce management.

* Collaborate with production planning, engineering, procurement, quality, and other cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes
* Facilitate and lead meetings / projects
* Perform required SAP/MES transactions and train others
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; 12 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
* Experience in Functional Leadership to include leading and managing production teams and operations
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Project Management
* Experience with SAP/MES
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
