This role is located in London or Manchester.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Lead architecture design and review across multiple pods, ensuring best practices and high-quality solutions.Mentor junior developers on software design, clean code, use of AI coding assistants, programming practices, and career development.Develop rapid, working prototype code to serve as a reference for engineering teams.Directly participate in building, testing, and deploying engineering solutions. Applicants should have a recent track record of hands-on technical leadership and execution within engineering teams.Influence and guide non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability.Promote modern development practices such as reactive/non-blocking programming and contract-first API design.Present architecture designs to stakeholders at various levels.Promote successful adoption of AI Software Development tooling.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plusSignificant experience in software development required with a strong background in full-stack development and proficiency in architectureExperience in the securities, financial services or tech industry is a plusProficiency in Java, SQL, REST APIs, and Streaming APIsExperience with cloud platforms, containers, and microservices architectureKnowledge of NoSQL database technologiesExpertise in workflow technologies such as Camunda 7 & 8 and JBPM is a...
