Packaging Prototype & Lab Technician

Lab Operations & Equipment Management Maintain packaging lab functionality, cleanliness, and organization Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated, maintained, and in proper working condition Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed Manage preventative maintenance schedules and calibration records Ensure lab compliance with GMP and internal safety standards Contribute to continuous improvement of lab safety and processes Operate and maintain lab equipment including: Support rapid prototyping, mock-ups, and sample preparation for development programs (primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging) Prepare test samples, run equipment, and document results Ensure testing materials and supplies are available and ready for use Manage lab inventory, including consumables and spare parts Manage software, licenses and warranties of all lab equipment Develop and maintain a structured system for project intake and lab request tracking, including leading implementation through existing systems (e.g. SharePoint) Coordinate priorities with engineering team to ensure timely execution Support maintenance of packaging component drawings and specifications Manage documentation of lab processes and SOPs Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and accessible Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Packaging, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 2+ years of experience in a lab, manufacturing, or technical support environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Experience with packaging materials (rigid plastics, film, paperboard, corrugate) Familiarity with lab equipment calibration and maintenance Experience with 3D printing or prototyping tools Exposure to ArtiosCAD or willingness to learn Experience with inventory management systems
