Work will be assigned on a as needed basis and will be paid for the hours/days and other applicable cost items for the hours/days spent on the assigned work. The work duration could be a day or several days or several weeks.Pipeline Inspectors (General, Welding & Coating)Northern Ontario | 6–8 Positions AvailableEarly July 2026 Start | Project Through Mid-November 2026$900/DaySGS is currently seeking 6–8 experienced Pipeline Inspectors to support a large integrity dig program in Northern Ontario.We are actively recruiting:General InspectorsWelding InspectorsCoating InspectorsCandidates with welding or coating inspection experience are highly preferred; however, experienced pipeline inspectors with strong construction inspection backgrounds are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesDepending on assignment, responsibilities may include:Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, codes, standards, and regulations.Participate in daily safety meetings, tailboards, and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs).Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified.Verify contractor compliance with site-specific safety plans and quality requirements.Oversee integrity dig activities including excavation, trenching, backfilling, restoration, welding, coating, and related construction activities.Review and verify Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.Identify and report construction, safety, and quality non-conformances.Complete daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation.Work collaboratively with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.Participate in incident investigations, quality walkdowns, lessons learned sessions, and project closeout activities.QualificationsGeneral Inspector QualificationsRequired3+ years of General Inspection experienceAPI 1169 CertificationAPI 1184 CertificationStrong knowledge of pipeline construction processes and proceduresOil & gas pipeline and/or industrial facilities experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred8–10 years of oil & gas pipeline and industrial facilities experienceRed Seal Trade CertificationCoating Inspector QualificationsRequired2+ years of Coating Inspection experienceAPI 1169 CertificationAPI 1184 CertificationAMPP/NACE CIP Level 1AMPP/NACE CIP Level 2 preferredKnowledge of coating inspection codes and standardsManufacturing training and/or product exposureOil & gas pipeline and industrial facilities experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentWelding Inspector QualificationsRequired8–10 years of Welding/Welding Inspection experience on pipelines or industrial facilitiesAPI 1169 CertificationAPI 1184 CertificationCSA W178.2 Level 1 or Level 2Strong knowledge of CSA Z662 and/or ASME B31.3Oil & gas pipeline and industrial facilities experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentEngineer, Technician, Technologist, Red Seal Journeyman, or Designated Specialist backgroundPreferredB-Pressure Welding experienceExperience leading, coaching, or mentoring inspection teamsWelding or NDE/NDT degree, diploma, or certificationCGSB NDT Level 2Project DetailsLocation: Northern OntarioStart Date: Early July 2026Duration: Through Mid-November 2026Compensation: $900/dayMultiple positions...
