You are a trusted partner to Rainbow’s leadership team.You will develop scalable reporting with strong controls, and ensure Rainbow maintains an accounting function suitable to support a high-growth insurance platform.Reports to: CEOLocation: Remote-friendlyWhat You'll OwnFinancial Leadership & StrategyServe as the company's senior finance executive and strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership teamLead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategic modelingProvide actionable insights on business performance, growth initiatives, profitability, and capital allocationSupport Board reporting, investor communications, fundraising efforts, and strategic transactions as neededAccounting & Financial OperationsOwn the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reportingLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and oversee preparation of financial statementsEnsure strong accounting controls, policies, and procedures across the organizationEstablish scalable accounting infrastructure to support company growth and increasing complexityLead company audits and tax reportingsSurplus Lines OperationsMaintain executive ownership of all E&S surplus lines reporting, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activitiesEnsure accurate and timely reporting through third-party vendors and other regulatory platformsDevelop scalable controls and reporting processes as Rainbow expands into new markets and jurisdictionsBordereaux Operations & CommissionsOversee premium & commission accounting, payment operations, and producer compensation programsWork cross-functionally with the product team to manage and deliver monthly bordereaux reportingEstablish controls and reporting around premiums, commissions, carrier settlements, and payment flowsDrive process improvements across insurance premium reporting and commission operationsPeople, Corporate Operations & InfrastructureProvide executive oversight for payroll, benefits administration, equity grants, and employee-related financial operationsPartner with leadership on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and organizational scalingWhat You Bring5+ years of progressive leadership experience across finance, accounting, and operations, including senior leadership roles in high-growth environmentsStrong foundation in insurance accounting, premium reporting, and internal controlsExperience scaling finance organizations through periods of rapid growth and organizational complexityStrong understanding of insurance or MGA operationsExpertise in financial forecasting, treasury management, and strategic decision supportExperience leading audits, tax matters, and regulatory reportingHighly analytical mindset comfortable working with in-house data and systemsPreferredExperience with E&S surplus lines reporting and tax complianceAbility to write SQL is strongly preferred, or strong aptitude to learnCPA, CFA, or equivalent accounting or finance credentialsCompensationBase salary: $175,000 - $225,000, depending on experience.Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company.Comprehensive medical, dental, vision.Remote-friendly within the US.How to applySend a resume and a cover note to jobs@userainbow.comRainbow is an equal opportunity employer.
