Legal & Compliance Working Student (Munich based)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Legal & Compliance working student (20 hours /week) to join our in-house legal department at Samsung Semiconductor Europe in Munich!

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate legal environment and work closely with experienced lawyers who support various business units across the organization.

Role and Responsibilities


• Assist the legal department with contract review, drafting and negotiation;
• Conduct legal research, compliance and operational tasks while gaining exposure to a broad range of legal issues which affect large multinational companies;
• Be involved in day-to-day business from the very beginning and work independently to respond to diverse legal questions and topics;
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Procurement, HR, Finance, Marketing and Sales to support legal related inquiries;
• Participate in meetings, training sessions and internal legal review as necessary and appropriate;
• Support the legal team in maintaining and organizing the legal documents in document management system.

Skills and Qualifications


• You are a German or international law student (LL.B. or LL.M.) with above average results OR you have a law degree (LL.B. or LL.M.) and have completed at least first state law exam in Germany with above average results or hold a comparable international qualification (such as the U.K., or other EU countries)
• Prior work experiences, ideally in a multinational company or a law firm is desirable but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required, German or Korean language are a plus.
• Strong analytical, research and writing skills and willingness to learn.
• Curious and creative mindset.
