Position Overview: Responsible for leading die team including setup, cleanup, and continuous improvement maintenance and storage.

Position Responsibilities

  • ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Develop and maintain ink inventory, order draw downs, get approvals, order, and coordinate arrival of ink for new items.
  • Approve and catalog all new tooling and coordinate said process with production schedule and release new tooling items to production.
  • Work closely with scheduler and other team members to ensure materials arrive on production floor as needed for manufacturing and on time delivery.
  • Catalog and maintain Mylar inventory.
  • Mount print plates as needed for production.
  • Check factory orders for accuracy.
  • Maintain die storage.
  • Maintain adhesive inventory and other plant supplies.
  • Periodic die purge.
  • Assist with first run integrity as needed.
  • Assist Prepress as needed.
  • Repair Tooling
  • Responsible for library of printed items:
    1. Making Library Cards.
    2. Verifying Bar Codes.
    3. Obtaining customer approval.
    4. Ordering print plates.

What it takes:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Attention to detail and ability to recognize minor discrepancies or deviation 
  • Effective communication skills (oral & written)
  • Basic Mechanical skills to make repairs using hand tools
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to use and read a ruler/tape-measure 
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, experience operating a forklift preferred 
  • Willing & able to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs 
  • Willing & able to work overtime and weekends as needed
