Skip to main content MS Attendance Clerk (26-27 SY) - Austin MS Irving ISD Irving, TX MS Attendance Clerk (26-27 SY) - Austin MS Irving ISD Irving, TX 1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants See who Irving ISD has hired for this role Report this job IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICTATTENDANCE CLERK (HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL)Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Attendance Clerk (High School/Middle School)WAGE/HOUR STATUS: NonexemptFUNDING SOURCE: LocalREPORTS TO: PrincipalPAY GRADE: Paraprofessional 040 (188 Days)- High School Paraprofessional 040 (195 Days)- Middle SchoolDATE REVISED: April 2016Primary PurposeMaintain accurate and complete student attendance records for the campus.QualificationsMinimum Education/Certification: High school diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/Skills Have knowledge of state compulsory attendance laws Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively use district attendance programs after standard training and with reasonablehelp-desk assistance Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance Bilingual English/Spanish preferredMinimum ExperienceOne (1) year of clerical/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience or backgroundMajor Responsibilities And Duties Perform all clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate and complete student attendance andother student records within established district guidelines Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student attendance issues Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed Receive incoming calls and take reliable messages as needed Maintain confidentiality of information and student records and maintain loyalty to the district Remain informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulationsSupervisory Responsibilitiesconcerning primary job functions.NoneWorking ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions;maintain emotional control under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbaland written). Standard office equipment, including a personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged sitting;occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequentkeyboarding and use of the mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15pounds).
