Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace. The Senior System Engineer will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solvetechnical problems, and optimize performance and organization. You will consult with endusers on advanced enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration topics.
Responsibilities
Deploy and configure ArcGIS in a wide variety of environments across operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations, to meet the customer's service level agreementPlan and execute the migration of content from one ArcGIS deployment to another, encompassing different architectures, deployment strategies, and software componentsTroubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, providing guidance for platform components such as storage, networking, and securityWork closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platformCollaborate internally to help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology platformOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field5+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilitiesExperience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online)Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or LinuxWorking knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#)Familiarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related fieldOne or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon)CompTIA Security + certificationExperience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associated APIs or interfacesCloud-based system operations (SysOps) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team settingMust be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environmentDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individualsFriendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applicationsProficient with Microsoft Office...
