We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer (1st Line) to provide technical support and system maintenance for live telecom IT environments. This role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing software and hardware solutions used in telecommunications networks, ensuring service quality and timely issue resolution. The individual will work closely with internal teams and customers to maintain system performance and escalate complex incidents where required.What you’ll do
Provide 1st line technical support for live IT and telecom systems across mobile and fixed networksInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware issues within defined service levelsDevelop, customise, and implement software solutions aligned with business and customer requirementsMonitor system performance and contribute to optimisation activities for telecom applicationsConfigure, integrate, and maintain network software parameters in line with quality standardsPerform testing in controlled environments and support deployment into production systemsIdentify faults in network technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G) and coordinate resolution or escalationConduct preventive checks using specialised tools to ensure system stabilityCollaborate with higher technical support levels for complex issues requiring escalationSupport emergency interventions through system and network reconfiguration when neededWho you are
A graduate with a degree in a technical discipline such as Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fieldProficient in English, both written and spokenFamiliar with operating systems, databases, and telecom-related IT applicationsKnowledgeable in networking technologies, including GPON, FTTH, and general networking conceptsComfortable analysing and resolving technical issues in a structured and collaborative wayAble to adapt to dynamic working environments, including shift-based schedules if requiredAdditional European language skills are considered an advantageNot a perfect fit?
