Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems / Engineer Systems. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / San Diego, CA / Oklahoma City, OK
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Product Support organization.
The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include:
* Perform system engineering analyses across the full lifecycle (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal).
* Analyze performance data to identify failure modes, validate data integrity, and generate clear, data-driven recommendations.
* Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations to resolve issues and drive reliability improvements.
* Develop and implement support solutions that enhance system reliability, maintainability, and overall lifecycle performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product support teams on Reliability & Maintainability, Supportability, Modeling & Simulation, and Support Equipment.
* Interpret engineering drawings, review technical data, and support testing to ensure solutions meet technical and regulatory requirements.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Systems (T01) or Engineer Systems (T02).
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Systems (T01)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
* Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
* Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar STEM degree.
* Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
