• Storage Pools, LUNs, File Systems (NAS/SAN)
• Snapshot & replication capabilities
• Deduplication appliances (Data Domain – if applicable)

Veeam Backup Platform

• Veeam Backup & Replication Server
• Backup Proxies & Repositories
• Integration with Dell EMC storage
• Backup for Virtual, Physical & Cloud workloads
• Workload Coverage Virtual Environment
  • VMware / Hyper-V VMs
  • VM image-based backups
  • Application-aware processing
  Physical Servers
  • Windows & Linux workloads
  • File system & volume-level backups

Storage Team (Dell EMC)

• Provision and configure Dell EMC storage (PowerStore / Unity / Data Domain)
• Create storage pools, LUNs, NAS shares for backup repositories
• Configure snapshots & replication (local / DR site)
• Enable Data Domain (DD Boost) integration (if applicable)
• Monitor storage capacity, performance & utilization
• Ensure high availability & storage health

2. Backup Team (Veeam – Core Owner)

• Design backup architecture & policies
• Install & configure:
  • Veeam Backup Server
  • Backup Proxies
  • Backup Repositories
• Integrate Veeam with Dell EMC storage & hypervisors
• Configure:
  • Backup jobs (VM, physical, applications)
  • Retention policies & backup copy jobs
• Implement:
  • Immutable backups (hardened repository / object lock)
  • Encryption & security controls
• Monitor jobs, resolve failures & ensure SLA compliance
• Perform backup & restore validation
• Provide reporting, dashboards & SOPs
