Join us as an Automation & Control Engineer and help ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of our manufacturing operations. You will support our Distributed Control System (DCS), maintaining an organized control environment that enables safe and uninterrupted production.

As a trusted technical expert, you will oversee the administration, maintenance, optimization, and protection of the control system architecture. Your work will help ensure the availability, and integrity of critical automation infrastructure while supporting across manufacturing processes.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement programs by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, mitigate operational risks, and strengthen process efficiency. Through your expertise, you will help safeguard business continuity and support the successful execution of main production goals. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. This is an onsite role based in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico.

Main Responsibilities.

• DCS System Administration: Configures, maintains, and documents the DCS architecture; manage the database, historical data, alarms, and system events; administer users, permissions, and action traceability.
• Availability and continuity: Ensures high availability of the DELTA V system (redundancies, backups, and failover), monitors system performance and detects deviations, and leads root cause analysis for failures or downtime.
• System security: Ensures compliance with cybersecurity policies in the control system; validate the integrity of programs, configurations, and versions; and manage backups, restoration, and change control.
• Control development and optimization: Designs and modifies control logic (interlocks, sequences, alarms); improve control loops to improve process stability and efficiency; and implement improvements based on data and performance analysis.
• Technical Support and Maintenance: Performs preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of the DCS, diagnoses and resolves hardware, software and communications failures, coordinates with maintenance, production and IT to address requirements or failures.

Qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Engineering with a focus in Automation and programming.
• 2+ years experience in Automation and Control engineering or similar roles.
• 2+ years of experience in DCS systems, PLCs, or industrial networks
• Technical English level.
• Delta V experience desirable.
