Whether you are an experienced surgeon seeking a collegial specialty environment or a residency-trained candidate looking to advance your career, OPVMC offers the resources, autonomy, and support to thrive.Job Description• Provide high-quality surgical care across a broad range of soft tissue, orthopedic, and emergency procedures • Participate in emergency surgical coverage as part of a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Internal Medicine, Oncology, Behavior, Emergency, and Critical Care • Develop, oversee, and execute individualized treatment and surgical plans while prioritizing patient safety and comfort • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, referring veterinarians, and internal team members • Mentor and support Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and surgical support staff • Participate in surgical case rounds and multidisciplinary discussions for complex cases • Utilize advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies, including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory services • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EzyVet and Smart Flow • Engage in continuing education to remain current with advancements in surgical techniques and standards of careWhy Orchard Park and Western New York?Located just outside Buffalo, Orchard Park offers an exceptional quality of life with the perfect balance of career opportunity and personal fulfillment.
